Paneer Shashlik

Soft and creamy pieces of paneer clubbed with capsicum, onions and tomatoes and skewered on a fiery grill to perfection.
Ingredients
- Oven Temp: 450 F- 220 C
- 500 gm Paneer Cut into Fairly Large Cubes
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
- 1 Tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 Cup Vinegar
- Chilli Powder to Taste
- 1 Tsp Garam Masala
- 1 Tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 2-3 Capsicums
- 2 Onions
- 3-4 Tomatoes
- Brush to Spread the Oil on the Grill
- Chaat Masala to Garnish
Method
Step 1
Marinate the paneer in garlic, ginger, vinegar, chilli powder, black pepper, powdered ingredients and salt
Step 2
Leave it for 3-6 hours or overnight.
Step 3
Chop the capsicums, onions and tomatoes in a size that is slightly larger than the paneer.
Step 4
Thread a piece of tomato, onion and capsicum into the skewer. Follow that with a piece of paneer in such a way that it gets support from the capsicum.
Step 5
Pour the leftover juice over the prepared shashlik and place over a drip tray
Step 6
Brush with oil.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven 15-20 minutes, till the items are browned at the edges, or over a barbecue pit, or a grill.
Step 8
Brush again with a little oil when almost done.
Step 9
Serve hot by itself or over a bed of boiled rice.
